Another great Bluekazoo puzzle. Perfect fit of every piece and a matte finish for no glare. Really enjoyed this puzzle so much.

Blue Kazoo carries a selection of their 1000 piece puzzles in a 250 piece count size. I decided to try one on a day with limited puzzling time. It ‘s amazing that a puzzle 1/4 the piece count of 1000 pieces can take so much less than a quarter of the time! I truly never watch the clock. I don’t care that I’m slow. And rarely, if ever actually, have I sorted and finished 1000 pieces in one day. This little puzzle was sorted and put together in I’m sure, less than an hour.
Quality: Very nice. The 6” square, attractive, solid box has a part of the design on the top and around the sides with minima signage. They are surely meant to look pretty on a bookshelf. Nicer still, this puzzle is part of the Premium Sustainable Collection. Inside the box is a resealable paper bag of pieces and a 16.5 x 11” puzzle poster for reference. Color match pieces to illustration was on point. There was some puzzle dust. The solid pieces are matte finish. None were damaged or together uncut and none were missing. Most of the traditional piece shapes were represented, so one could count on shape and color to get the job done. Piece fit during construction was quite good. Bu it did not pass the extraneous pick up test when complete.
Getting started: Find the edge pieces and sort by color. Starting from the top and going clockwise around, I sorted the colors and the transitions from one to another as they appeared on the image, making a lovely rainbow across my board. I did separate out the somewhat muddy pieces that met in the center.
Construction: I built the frame first then filled in from the rainbow of sorts. An easy, relaxing, fun exercise utilizing the puzzling process to clear my mind and offer calm. A broken up “gradient” like this one is not as easy as with the flow of a pure gradient puzzle. With only 250 pieces that didn’t really matter. I’m not sure I would have enjoyed the 1000 piece version quite as much. I have excellent color vision, but pure, full spectrum gradients are by far my favorites. Triangles posing as gradients is a whole different thing!
Final thoughts: The benefits of the puzzling process happen no matter the piece count or the difficulty level. They are often a quick puzzling fix when time is short. 250 pieces may not be easy at all. Blue Kazoo has a totally white puzzle that comes in 250 pieces. More doable than the 1000 piece one perhaps, but more time than “quick” for sure! I certainty can recommend Triangles along with checking out their other offerings.

The gradient was fantastic. I never got lost putting the puzzle together. The puzzle piece colors were vibrant and had a great fit. The pieces have a heft to them. I just wanted to redo immediately.

When doing this puzzle make sure you have appropriate lighting. The red and orange sections nearly drove me mad until I tried working on them in the daylight.
My husband and I enjoyed working on this puzzle and it kept us busy for several days.

I love these puzzles! The pieces fit together amazingly and the color saturation it gorgeous! I just wish you had 500 piece puzzles. The 250 is way too easy and sometimes I’m just not up for a 1,000 because I don’t want to fight my cats that long for pieces.

By far one of the best puzzles I’ve done. I thought it would be super hard since it was just colors and not a picture but NOPE. Less than two hours. Great quality pieces, poster and box. 5⭐️’s! Now to choose my next one….

Probably the hardest puzzle I’ve done. The shades of red and some of the yellow greens were so close to each other that I had a hard time differentiating them. But it was fun! And a real challenge.
