This is a sustainable puzzle, and the smooth, heavy, slate-colored pieces make it feel like you are building this rocky planet out of actual stones! It's not as hard as it looks at first glance--about the same difficulty level as Jupiter, I'd say.

Loved this puzzle. Great quality and fun to put together.
More planets please!!!

I've quite enjoyed your Planet series; they've really increased my puzzling mojo. Sun was possibly the most difficult jigsaw I ever completed, and that was only after I stashed it away, partially assembled, for 16 months while I practiced on other puzzles including Earth and Jupiter. Once Sun was done I jumped right into Mercury.
The new plastic-free puzzles are the best; I'm now totally spoiled by the matte surface, especially for dark colors. Keep up the fantastic series and LMK when you figure out how to do Saturn!! LOL

Loved seeing Mercury come together! There are enough subtle differences in shading to make this challenging, yet not impossible. Venus was tougher, I thought, and the sun— oh my. That truly tested me.
Jupiter is next! Cannot wait. Please, please bring us Saturn and the rest!!

The 1000 piece might be daunting for beginners (though it is easier than the sun), but I've been doing puzzles my whole life and it was very zen. So cool to watch it come together.

Really well made. The pieces are unique enough where there's no false fits. Difficulty is between the earth and moon puzzles.

This is one tough puzzle but I love it. The quality is exceptional. Can’t wait until it’s finished. Venus is next.

While I have not put together Mercury yet, because I may or may not have added him to the dozen plus Kazoo puzzles I’ve ordered in the past 6 months, he is the FIRST sustainable puzzle I’ve purchased. Immediately I was impressed with the complete absence of puzzle dust. Which for me, is the #1 worst part about putting puzzles together. I keep a lint roller nearby for this very problem when doing a puzzle. I was also impressed with both the picture quality and thickness of the pieces. I can’t stand when a puzzle flimsily fits together and if you happen to graze by it a section, it falls apart immediately. Mercury is another addition to the planets and by far, my favorite so far! Thanks Blue Kazoo for committing to the planet by making these sustainable puzzles. Are they pricey? Yes. Do you get what you pay for? Absolutely. And isn’t our planet worth it?? Beyond yes.

Haven't started the Mercury puzzle yet, but apparently had to rate it in order to comment on other puzzles. The Sun puzzle has been the most challenging so far and I almost gave up 2/3s the way through due to the multiple shades of red.
Earth was easier with the Moon falling in between. The quality of the pieces helps - they either fit or they don't - as does the detail of the enclosed poster; the latter proved the key to the Starfield puzzle.
Looking forward to Mercury and Mars with the new puzzle on Jupiter on the way. Also have two more Space puzzles ahead - those clearance prices are hard to resist.
